For Rebate Incentive Applicants
Program Application (updated January 2021)
The NYC Clean Trucks Program accepts Applications on a first-come, first-served basis. Licensed Motor Carriers (LMCs), Independent Owner Operators (IOOs), and truck operators are invited to apply for rebate incentive funding to replace older, heavy polluting diesel trucks with new battery electric, plug-in hybrid electric, diesel-electric hybrid, compressed natural gas, and diesel trucks.
For Vehicle Eligibility
Vehicle Eligibility Application
Dealerships/Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) must complete and submit the Vehicle Eligibility Application, along with the required supplemental documentation, via email to NYTVIP@energycenter.org. All battery electric, plug-in hybrid electric, diesel-electric hybrid, and compressed natural gas replacement truck options must be approved by NYSERDA. Replacement truck options approved by NYSERDA are considered eligible and approved by the NYC Clean Trucks Program. A Vehicle Eligibility Application is not required for diesel-fueled replacement truck options under the NYC Clean Trucks Program.
Battery electric, plug-in hybrid electric, diesel-electric hybrid, and compressed natural gas replacement truck options ineligible for or denied by NYSERDA may still qualify as an eligible replacement truck option under NYC Clean Trucks Program. Contact the NYC Clean Trucks Program Administrator for additional information.
For Dealerships/OEMs
NYC Clean Trucks Program Dealership/OEM Agreement
The Dealership/OEM Agreement identifies the Terms and Conditions for Dealerships/OEMs selling replacement trucks through the NYC Clean Trucks Program.
To participate in the NYC Clean Trucks Program as an approved vendor, the Dealership/OEM must first be approved as an eligible vendor under the NYSERDA Program. NYSERDA Program-approved Dealerships/OEMs may then download and review the NYC Clean Trucks Program Dealership/OEM Agreement. Dealerships/OEMs must complete and submit two (2) original Dealership/OEM Agreements to the NYC Clean Trucks Program Administrator.
Dealerships/OEMs that sell only diesel-fueled replacement truck options, or Dealerships/OEMs that are ineligible/denied by NYSERDA as a program-approved vendor may still qualify under the NYC Clean Trucks Program. Contact the NYC Clean Trucks Program Administrator for additional information.
For Scrappage Operators
NYC Clean Trucks Program Scrappage Operator Agreement
The Scrappage Operator Agreement identifies the terms and conditions for facilities that are scrapping qualifying trucks through the NYC Clean Trucks Program. Scrapyard operators that have the capacity to satisfy the scrappage requirements must be approved. To receive approval, scrapyard operators must complete and submit two (2) original Scrappage Operator Agreements to the NYC Clean Trucks Program Administrator.
